Window 10 this summer!?

Yes thats right, Microsoft’s newest operating system will be ready this summer!

The announcement was made at the Window Hardware Engineering community (WinHEC) Summit, in China.

A the summit, Microsoft EVP of Operating Systems, Terry Myerson, told us:

“We continue to make great development progress and shared today that Windows 10 will be available this summer in 190 countries and 111 languages,” Myerson also wrote in a blog post on the company’s website. “Windows has always been global with more than 1.5 billion users around the world and here in China hundreds of millions of PCs operate Windows today.”

Myerson has also announced that, in a very surprising world first:

“We are upgrading all qualified PCs, genuine and non-genuine, to Windows 10,”

So it looks like even if you are running a pirated version of Windows 7 or 8, you will be viable for a free upgrade to Windows 10.

As per one of our older news posts, Microsoft have already told us that Windows 10 will be free to upgrade from anyone running windows 7 and above for the first year of release.
